This was the biggest same quarter rise in sales at Electricite de France in the previous 35 quarters. During the first two quarters of 2021, sales totalled 39.62 billion Euro, which is 14.1% higher than through the first two quarters of 2020. Sales at Electricite de France appear to have some seasonality: during each of the previous 9 years, sales have been highest during the first quarter, which has accounted for between 28.6% and 32.3% of the annual sales. Electricite de France reported sales of 69.03 billion Euro (US$81.60 billion) for the year ending December of 2020. This represents a decrease of 3.2% versus 2019, when the company's sales were 71.32 billion Euro. The sales level in 2020 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2015, Electricite de France had sales of 75.01 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 21.2% decline in Italy, from 7.54 billion Euro to 5.94 billion Euro. There were also decreases in sales in United Kingdom (down 5.5% to 9.04 billion Euro) and Dalkia (down 0.1% to 3.73 billion Euro) and Other International (down 10.6% to 2.24 billion Euro) and Other Activities (down 20.9% to 1.82 billion Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of France - Generation and Supply (up 1.7% to 27.11 billion Euro) and France - Regulated Services (up 0.7% to 16.18 billion Euro) and Framatome (up 0.3% to 1.90 billion Euro) and Edf Renewables (up 2.5% to 1.07 billion Euro) .
