This was the third consecutive year of growth at Nintendo. Sales of Ninntendo Switch Platform saw an increase that was more than double the company's growth rate: sales were up 18.6% in 2020, from ¥1.03 trillion to ¥1.22 trillion. Not all segments of Nintendo experienced an increase in sales in 2020: sales of Niland 3ds Platform fell 71.4% to ¥18.06 billion. Nintendo also experienced decreases in sales in Others (down 35.1% to ¥71.13 billion) .
